ADSL2+ Access

PacketFront's ADSL 2+ solution offers the unique automation and control functionality that characterizes all of our broadband solutions. With the high performance IP DSLAM, IPD 1200 , 29Mbit/s downstream bandwidth can be achieved, and this means that end users can enjoy the full scope of triple-play services.

Aggregated by our ASR 10000 or ASR 5000 broadband router and controlled by the control and provisioning system BECS™, PacketFront's ADSL 2+ solution provides the functionality that traditional BRAS systems do, without the use of the costly and limiting PPPoE technology. As payload traffic and signalling are separated in all of PacketFront's broadband networks, there are no bottlenecks that disturb or hinder the network traffic.

As part of the ADSL2+ solution, PacketFront offers a virtual chassis solution that is designed to meet the requirements of scalability, flexibility and distribution of DSLAMs closer to the end user. The ASR 10000 in this solution is the control plane for up to 24 IPD 1200s, centralised and/or distributed. From a management perspective, each IPD is a “virtual line card”, and the ASR 10000 is one big chassis with a capacity of up to 1152 ADSL2+ lines. Combining the advantages of a chassis solution with the advantages of smaller units, the virtual chassis solution is ideal for DSL operators who focus on triple-play.

 ADSL2+-solution

PacketFront's solution for ADSL2+ provides a cost efficient broadband network capable of full scale triple-play service offering.

The ADSL 2+ solution provides network owners with a cost-efficient solution that reduces the complexities in broadband deployment, especially addressing the challenges in distributing high quality TV over the DSL line. Our solution has endless capabilities when it comes to designing and packaging a valuable service offering, and, maybe most important, how to manage this in a controlled manner without increasing OPEX.
