PacketFront represented by Trigon AG in Switzerland

Trigon AG was founded in October 1996 and is headquartered in Baar, in Central Switzerland. The company’s products and services are focused on complex transmission requirements. The PacketFront solution complements Trigon’s product portfolio as the demand for end-to-end solutions for FTTH networks continues to grow and gain momentum in Switzerland.

Telecommunication companies as well as many state-owned enterprises such as electrical utilities have announced projects to enter the FTTH market. FTTH – fiber to the home- means that homes are connected to fiber networks. Customers in Switzerland are convinced of PacketFront’s solution, which emphasizes network automation where every service is controllable and can be differentiated. Furthermore, there are many design possibilities for the access network, which in turn enable a multitude of business models and types of service provisioning. PacketFront is a supporter of the open access model, whereby the infrastructure is accessible to all service providers who provide their services in the network and the end-user can choose from an extensive service portfolio.

Trigon AG currently has 4 pilots in operation in Switzerland and in neighboring countries. The scalable PacketFront solution also enables small companies to enter the FTTH market with few subscribers and the networks can be expanded over time and based on subscriber growth.

”Trigon is a reliable partner who has been active in Switzerland for years. The company has all the required qualifications to sell and successfully implement the PacketFront solution for the FTTH market,” explains Andrea Magnago, Sales Manager EMEA.
