Job Description
We are looking for a multi-talented person to join our Systems Engineering team within R&D. You will become a key resource in the evolution and development of PacketFront’s solution. As a hardware architect you are expected to:  
  • Be the subject matter expert when evaluating third party products, sub-systems or components with regard to fit in PacketFront’s existing or future solution.
  • Participate in, or lead, hardware sub-projects during product development. This can be anything from being PacketFront’s primary technical interface towards a contract manufacturer to driving and following up an ODM/OEM partner during new development.
  • Together with the Product Management and Supply departments, drive cost reduction projects and activities in order to assure PacketFront’s product portfolio stays competitively priced.
  • Participate or lead advanced troubleshooting of hardware or system related problems, in-house (in cooperation with the software teams) or with our manufacturing and design partners.

 

Required skills: 
  • A genuine interest in internet and network technologies
  • Project management experience / requirement specification skills
  • Design experience from network equipment development
  • Knowledge and experience from all aspects of the product development cycle
  • Experience of signal integrity, including simulations and layout
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and certification
  • Strong documentation ability
  • Schematics design

 

Meriting skills: 

  • Experience from high volume manufacturing
  • PLM system experience
