Professional Services Engineer
Professional Services (PS) is the PacketFront consulting organisation. The
main duty of PS is to make a solution/system to work by assisting/adapting a
solution/system in such a way that the customer can run, operate and benefit
from the investment's full potential as intended. This way the PS organisation
helps the customer to get into operation in a limited amount of time and
resources.
We believe that the motivation and passion for technology and data/telecom is
key and that the person who applies for the position is a creative and curious
person with a strong will to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Software/integration focus
The PS Engineer must master and be close to independent in the below
areas:
- Network design and network planning
- Software development
- Scripting
- System Integration
- Plan and execute test
- Documentation
- Education minimum 180p or equivalent
Competence
Shall meet most of the below requirements:
- Strong network design competence
- Strong IP routing and L2 switching competence
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong hands-on and test/verification skills
- Consulting and sales competence
- Strong programming skills
- Scripting skills (XML/TCL)
- System integrations skills
- SUN/Solaris competence
Experience
Shall meet most of the below requirements:
- Telecommunication and data communications background
- System integrations background
- Consulting background
- Project Management background.
- Sales Experience is a plus
- International work experience is a plus
- Minimum 5 years industry experience
Social and Personal Competence
Shall meet most of the below requirements:
- Strong team worker
- Independent and self-going
- Pro-active
- Multi-tasking capacity
- Capable of handling stress and dynamic work
environments with quick changes and re-prioritizations.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to travel and work at customer sites
Personal capabilities
We think that you are a thorough team player with a relevant Masters degree
or similar, you like to work in teams as well independent and are self-going,
capable of handling stress and like a dynamic work environment with quick
changes. As English is our company language you are comfortable using English in
both writing and speech.
